The Port Natal Maritime Museum is located at the Bay end of Samora Machel Street, next to the BAT Centre. The museum showcases the maritime history of Durban, and visitors can explore a range of exhibits, from weather and navigational equipment to small boats and three large retired ships. These include an old coal-fired engine from the early 1900s, a steam tugboat, and a navy minesweeper.
