Over 3 000 birds (and small animals) of 400 different species are uniquely presented in more than 100 spacious landscaped walk through aviaries, allowing you the most intimate closeness with nature. A tropical garden setting in the Hout Bay Valley is the environment in which the aviaries are framed by the back of Table Mountain, the Twelve Apostles, Constantiaberg, Chapman’s Peak and Little Lion’s Head. Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary offers a unique opportunity to admire big cats, including Lions, Tigers, Leopards, Pumas, and Jaguars. These animals have been rescued or rehomed from facilities that could no longer care for them. At Jukani, they reside in a large, natural habitat designed to meet their individual needs, free from exploitation and human stress. This allows visitors to appreciate and photograph them in their natural splendor. 

Hartbeespoort Dam Elephant Sanctuary is an elephant sanctuary providing a safe haven and “halfway house” for African elephants.

The Elephant Sanctuary has African elephants and offers an interactive elephant experience with overnight accommodation. 

Primates, such as our squirrel, spider and capuchin monkeys, are given a new lease on life at Bushbabies Monkey Sanctuary. Previously raised as household pets, or bred for the pet trade, our monkeys are introduced to a wild world laden with waterfalls, lush vegetation, natural mountain springs and the chance to reside in as natural and environment as possible. 

The name Panthera Africa is inspired by the passion Lizaene and Cathrine have for the four pantheras; panthera leo – the lion, panthera pardus – the leopard, panthera onca – the jaguar and panthera tigris – the tiger.

The Tsitsikamma Wolf Sanctuary provides a home and safe haven for unwanted and abused wolves and wolf dogs. The SanWild Wildlife Sanctuary is a 5,000 ha wildlife rehabilitation center and reserve in South Africa's Limpopo Province, located a few kilometers south of Leydsdorp, and near the western boundary of the Kruger National Park

Every elephant needs a herd. As a species, their strong family bonds and delicate social dynamics are integral to their wellbeing and survival . Because of this, orphaned elephant calves have a slim change of survival in the wild. HERD's elephant orphanage in South Africa gives them a fighting chance by stepping in as their family and protectors when they need it most.

 The Hidden Forest Wildlife Sanctuary is a forever home for various wildlife species near Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal. It's mission is to educate and foster greater understanding of wildlife and the threats and challenges they are facing.

Some of the wildlife you may encounter on foot include kudu, giraffe, blue wildebeest, impala, zebra, and more finishing off with a tour of  rescued lions.  Eseltjiesrus Donkey Sanctuary provides a permanent refuge for abused, neglected and elderly donkeys.

Bambelela, established in Dec. 2003, is a privately owned and operated wildlife
rehabilitation and conservation centre in the Waterberg district. It is well known
and especially well regarded for its exceptional work with Vervet monkeys.
Since 2008 we have successfully rehabilitated 29 troops of monkeys [a total of over 1000 Vervet Monkeys], who are now living free at safe release sites, on
Bushveld farms in Limpopo. 

Lionsrock Big Cat Sanctuary, a four paws sanctuary, is home to around 100 big cats rescued from around the world. Here they are protected and provided with a lifelong habitat appropriate home for their species.
